Izumi Sushi

I love Izumi Japanese & Sushi Restaurant. Everything I've had from them has been fantastic! I'd recommend this restaurant for take-out for eat in any day. The staff is very friendly and polite. I've been eating from Izumi since 2005 and have never had a problem. A+++++++++++++++++++++++ in my book!

Fantastic food! excellent quality in all of the dishes we ordered. the vegetable gyoza, beef nagimaki and avocado cucumber roll were so delicious. delivery came before the estimated time as well, and they are reasonably priced. definitely my favorite.

We had a great experience eating take out/delivery from Izumi Sushi. The food was delicious and it arrived to us quickly. This was our first GrubHub experience, and we were not disappointed! Would definitely order from Izumi again!

This is my second time ordering from Izumi Japanese Sushi Restaurant.
The nabe yaki soba noodles and yellowtail scallion roll was so good and delicious. The packaging looks great, and the delivery was fast. Great sushi!

OMG!! fast and tasty food! i order on grubhub for pick up at IZUMI i went there 10 mins later and they are done while i walk in to the store. GOOD TIMING!!! sure will come back for more!

Best delivery sushi in NYC....hands down I've lived in NYC for 6 years now and I used to hate ordering sushi. It was never the same as it tasted in the restaurant and it was always too overpriced and not very filling. Izumi on the other hand has allowed me to "see clearly now the rain is gone". Every single time I order from Izumi, excitement surges through my body when I hit the confirm button. The Sushi rolls are amazing. The are filled with fish, not TOO much rice but not too little, and the taste is outta this world. The lunch special is a great deal (3 roll w/ miso soup for $11.50 or something) and the regular orders are great too....BEST PART is that whenever you order a non-lunch-special meal...they bring you sliced juicy oranges with your meal! They also deliver everywhere from the West side to the East. I literally work on 12th avenue and live on 1st avenue and they delivery to both my office and my home.....they know how to run a great business in NYC. I MIGHT ORDER IZUMI TODAY!!!! My new favorite!! That meal was so fresh, delicious and fast! I'm glad I gave them a try-- were really attentive to my order instructions for my sushi, clear soup and steamed veggies. Plus they have the most generous portion of garden salad I've seen from any sushi place. Not just a couple of leaves of clear iceberg lettuce-- an actual green garden SALAD! Aged tofu option is lightly fried by the way.

This place is a gem. Yum.

Love Izumi, sushi is always excellent and Avocado Salad is fresh and very large for the price, but I will add some criticism for the first time: 1. The chopsticks are cheap and thus never split properly, so I use my own non-disposable ones (They used to send better ones - what happened?) and 2. Some items are still sent in styrofoam, which surprises me.

I ordered the salmon skin salad, toro roll, and mochi ice cream. The salmon skin salad was amazing. i could eat that every day. The toro roll was good, but not a standout. They accidentally gave me regular ice cream and when I called they were so so nice about it. They immediately sent over the mochi. I will definitely be ordering from them again.

This is my go-to sushi place. The sushi is always fast and fresh. Always ready in ten minutes. It's near by where I work and so I always go to pick up, so I can't say anything about their delivery. The appearance of the restaurant isn't very fancy but they always have an "A" health code rating. Also, the lady at the door is super nice.
